Case Canvas

Case canvas is your digital whiteboard to use for visualization and collaboration

Updated over 10 months ago

Canvas View

The Canvas view is an interactive mapping tool that allows you to visualize and connect different aspects of your case.

Initial Card Loading

When the Canvas page is first loaded, it automatically retrieves all summary cards associated with the case from across all documents. The initial view displays up to 10 cards with the highest significance ratings.

If there are fewer than 10 highly significant cards available, the Canvas will display all available high-significance cards. Users can then begin interacting with these cards and add more cards as needed from the Knool cards list.

Key Features

  • Drag and drop summary cards onto the canvas

  • Create connections between related summary cards

  • Expand cards to view detailed summaries

  • Add custom notes using the "Add Note" button

  • Remove cards or return them to the summary cards list

Auto-Save Functionality

The Canvas automatically saves your changes every 2 seconds, ensuring that your work is always preserved.

Filtering Options

Users can filter cards using the same criteria available in the Timeline's unassigned section:

  • Significance

  • Topics

  • Participants

  • Impact

  • Review status

The Canvas view provides a flexible environment for visualizing relationships between different aspects of your case and organizing information in a way that makes sense for your legal strategy.
