Deposition Outline
The Deposition Outline feature, available under Work Products, helps you create comprehensive deposition outlines through a structured workflow.
Creating a Deposition Outline
Users have two options for creating deposition outlines:
Manual creation - Craft goals, topics, and questions
AI-assisted generation - Let AI help generate the outline components
Initial Setup
To begin creating a deposition outline, fill in the following information:
Deposition Title
Fact Witness or Expert Witness
Witness Name
Alias
Job Title
Witness Position (Favorable to plaintiff/defendant or neutral)
Involvement Details
Smart Suggestions
While filling out the deposition details:
Related summary cards appear in the right-side panel as suggestions
Click on suggestions to view relevant case information
Use the "Show Summaries" button to expand all cards and view their complete summaries
The smart suggestion system helps ensure that all relevant case information is readily available while preparing your deposition outline.
Creating Goals
There are two ways to create deposition goals:
Manual Goal Creation - Type your goals directly into the goal field
AI-Generated Goals - Click the thunder icon to generate suggested goals automatically
Generated goals will appear in the right panel, where you can select one or multiple goals before proceeding.
Topic Creation
After setting goals, you can create topics in two ways:
Manual topic creation
AI-assisted topic generation using the thunder icon
Question Generation
In the fourth step, questions can be created for each goal and topic:
Add questions manually for specific topics
Generate AI-suggested questions using the thunder icon
Review and modify generated questions as needed
Final Review and Export
The final step allows you to review the complete deposition outline:
Save as final version or draft
Export the outline as a Word document
Review all goals, topics, and questions in a structured format
All generated content can be edited and customized to ensure it meets your specific deposition requirements.
