Step 1: Create a case

Create a new case in Knool to get started

Information within Knool is organized by cases. Information that you add about the case help Knool's AI automation to understand overall context as you add documents and provide tailored summaries and other information.

To create a new case

  1. Click on the "Add New Case" button on your Cases dashboard

  2. Fill in the required case details:

    • Case Name - Enter a descriptive name for the case

    • Plaintiff - Add the plaintiff's information

    • Defendant - Add the defendant's information

    • Representation - Above the Plaintiff and Defendant fields, you can select which party you are representing

    • Case Type - Select the appropriate type of legal case

    • Cause of Action - Select one or multiple applicable causes of action

  3. Click "Create Case" to finish setting up your new case

Once a case is created, you can access all case-related information, add documents, set up timelines, and manage team collaboration from the case dashboard.
